Job Title: Electrical Assembler
Job Location: Duncan, SC
Provenance Recruitment and Staffing is currently recruiting for a full time electrical assembler position for a client located in the Duncan area.
1st Shift, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay starts at $20/hour.
General Description – Manages the following daily operations:
- Assembles a wide variety of electrical equipment from simple to complex systems on bench or floor, as required
- Align, fit, or assemble component parts, using hand or power tools, fixtures, or templates
- Determines the most appropriate assembly or erection procedures using prints, piping diagrams, wiring diagrams and work instructions
- Confirms parts availability on orders and reports shortages to supervision
- Uses hand tools and power tools to lay out, mount, and connect mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
- Makes functional tests and final calibration of equipment
- Performs self inspection on work and signs off on routing sheet
- Uses overhead crane and fork truck to move equipment as required
- Read work orders and/or receive instructions from supervisor to determine work requirements
- Examine and inspect material for defects, correcting and/or documenting any issues according to established procedures
- Informs Engineering of any design problems during assembly
- Put time to jobs using computer-based system
- Requisition and store materials and supplies needed to maintain inventory of necessary supplies
- Must keep work area neat and clean
- Assist in other areas of the department as business needs dictate
- Additional projects and responsibilities may be assigned by management as necessary
Work experience and other requirements:
- Minimum of 1-year experience in electrical/electronic assembly
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
- Computer literate (Windows, Microsoft) preferred
- Ability to operate hand tools, mechanical and transportation equipment (hand tools, pallet jack, fork lift, etc.)
- Ability to provide information to supervisors and co-workers by telephone, in written form, e-mail, and in person
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for 8 hours per day
- Able to lean, bend or stoop
- Able to clearly identify colors
Education Requirements:
Associate’s degree in electronics, or equivalent combination of training and work experience
