Provenance Recruitment & Staffing is currently seeking a Church Custodian for a local church facility in Easley, SC. This is a part-time, first shift position. This role is ideal for candidates with prior cleaning experience who are dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
Schedule: Monday–Friday 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM with some weekends required, weekday swap or extra hours available
Job Summary:
The Church Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of the church facilities. Duties include routine cleaning, restroom sanitation, trash removal, floor care, and supporting special services or events as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine cleaning throughout all church facilities
• Clean floors, carpets, restrooms, windows, and common areas
• Empty trash and recycling containers
• Restock restroom supplies
• Operate vacuums, floor buffers, and carpet cleaners
• Report maintenance or facility concerns promptly
• Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies
• Assist with special services, funerals, and church events as needed
• Perform general housekeeping and other assigned duties
Requirements:
- Clean background check required
• Clean drug screen required
• Prior cleaning or custodial experience preferred
• Ability to work independently
• Strong attention to detail
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Weekend availability as needed
