Provenance Recruitment & Staffing is currently seeking a Janitorial Associate to support a local industrial manufacturing facility. This role is ideal for candidates who are dependable, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a dirty industrial / machine shop environment.
Job Summary:
The Janitorial Associate is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of employee common areas throughout the facility. This includes restrooms, breakroom/canteen areas, offices, locker areas, entrances, and other shared spaces. This is not a production floor cleaning role, but candidates must be comfortable working in an industrial setting where grease, dirt, and high employee traffic are common.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sweep and mop restrooms
• Clean commodes, urinals, sinks, and mirrors
• Empty trash cans throughout the facility
• Refill paper holders and dispensers as needed
• Sweep and mop canteen / breakroom areas
• Clean tables and wipe canteen equipment
• Refill napkin holders and ensure condiments are stocked
• Keep restroom and canteen walls free of grease
• Sweep employee entrance and smoking/common areas
• Sweep locker area aisles and remove trash from locker tops
• Prepare drink mix and stock cups during summer months
• Clean water fountains
• Sweep, mop, dust, and empty trash in office areas
• Requisition cleaning supplies as needed
• Perform general housekeeping and other assigned duties
Requirements:
- Previous janitorial or cleaning experience preferred
• Ability to work independently
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Comfortable working in a dirty industrial environment
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to lift cleaning supplies and equipment as needed
