Maintenance Technician

Provenance Recruitment & Staffing is currently hiring a Maintenance Technician for a manufacturing facility in the Liberty, SC area. This is a hands-on industrial maintenance position responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing equipment.

Employees must provide their own tools according to a required tool list.

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for providing routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance for manufacturing equipment and support systems. The ideal candidate will have previous industrial maintenance experience with strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, welding, and fabrication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform drilling, tapping, and basic machine shop work
  • Complete mechanical repairs, including extracting broken bolts
  • Perform welding and fabrication as needed
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical wiring and equipment
  • Install conduit and perform hardwiring
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic pumps, valves, and cylinders
  • Work with hydraulic hoses, pipes, tubing, and fittings
  • Perform hydraulic system maintenance, including pre-charging and bleeding accumulators
  • Adjust relief valve and pressure switch settings
  • Properly set up die cast machine strain gauges
  • Maintain and repair support equipment, including pumps and air compressors
  • Perform maintenance on HVAC equipment
  • Respond to routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance needs to minimize equipment downtime

Requirements:

• Previous experience in industrial maintenance or a related field
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
  • Experience with electrical wiring, conduit, and hardwired equipment
  • Knowledge of hydraulic systems, components, hoses, tubing, and fittings
  • Welding and fabrication experience
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
  • Ability to perform basic machine shop work
  • Ability to handle the physical demands of an industrial maintenance position
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work effectively under deadlines
  • Must provide personal tools according to the required tool list

Work Location: In person – Liberty, SC
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 hour shifts, some weekends required
Pay: $20 – $25/hr., based on experience
