Material Handler

Provenance Recruitment & Staffing is currently hiring experienced Material Handlers for a manufacturing facility in the Liberty, SC area. This is a hands-on warehouse and shipping role requiring prior material handling and forklift experience. Candidates must be comfortable operating warehouse equipment, working at heights, and performing physical work in a non-climate-controlled environment.

Job Summary:

The Material Handler works within the Shipping Department to accurately pick, process, and prepare customer and distribution center orders. This position is responsible for operating material handling equipment, scanning and locating inventory, maintaining an organized warehouse, and ensuring orders are completed accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pick, process, and prepare customer and distribution center orders
  • Organize and prepare orders as directed by the Shipping Supervisor
  • Operate RF scanners to scan barcodes and deliver materials to designated locations
  • Operate cherry pickers/order pickers, sit-down and stand-up forklifts, lift trucks, side loaders, pallet trucks, and other warehouse equipment
  • Perform required daily forklift inspections
  • Conduct on-the-spot checks to help ensure order and inventory accuracy
  • Maintain organized warehouse storage, including pallet consolidation and keeping aisles clean and clear
  • Follow all workplace safety rules, procedures, and regulations
  • Identify and immediately report hazardous or unsafe workplace conditions or practices to a supervisor
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and productive work environment

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 1 year of material handling, warehouse, or related experience
  • Cherry picker/order picker experience required
  • Sit-down and stand-up forklift experience required
  • RF scanner experience preferred
  • Ability and willingness to work at heights of 20 feet or more
  • Knowledge of warehouse, shipping, and receiving functions
  • Familiarity with shipping methods including FedEx, UPS, and freight carriers
  • Experience using warehouse management systems preferred
  • Ability to learn company part numbers and product descriptions

Work Location: In person – Liberty, SC
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 hour shifts
Pay: $18/hr – $20.50/hr
