Valve Assembler

Provenance Recruitment and Staffing is currently seeking a Valve Assembler to join a leading fire protection manufacturing company located in Liberty, SC.

Job Summary:

The Valve Assembler is responsible for assembling and testing fire protection valves. This position involves reading work orders and blueprints, assembling and inspecting parts, operating machinery, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble and test fire protection valves according to work orders, blueprints, and shop data
  • Collect and match up parts, files, and serial numbers
  • Assemble components within valves and perform visual inspections
  • Rework valves denied by pressure testing; troubleshoot product issues for engineering and development teams
  • Operate machinery and perform minor repairs as needed
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area in accordance with the company’s 5S program
  • Occasionally assist with testing new product parts for the Engineering Department
  • Follow all safety rules and use appropriate personal protective equipment
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of assembly and/or manufacturing experience
  • Ability to analyze work orders, blueprints, and shop instructions
  • Strong hand/eye coordination and dexterity for repetitive tasks
  • Proficiency with gauges, valves, hand tools, and manufacturing machinery
  • Basic math skills with the ability to apply algebra and geometry
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods (90% of shift)
  • Willingness to wear required PPE (safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots, etc.)
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
