Metal Material Handler Die Cast

Provenance Recruitment & Staffing is currently seeking a Metal Material Handler to support the Die Cast department of a local manufacturing facility. This role is ideal for candidates with forklift experience who are comfortable working in a high-heat industrial environment and committed to maintaining a safe and steady production flow.

Job Summary:

The Metal Material Handler is responsible for safely transporting, staging, and loading raw metal materials for melting and die cast production. This position operates a forklift to move metal to the furnace area, assists with loading materials into melting furnaces, and ensures proper material flow for continuous production. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, and comfortable working in physically demanding conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a forklift to transport raw metal to the melt/furnace area
  • Stage metal materials to maintain continuous production flow
  • Assist with loading metal into melting furnaces
  • Monitor material levels and notify supervisor of shortages
  • Remove scrap metal and transport to designated areas
  • Ensure correct metal type is delivered to proper locations
  • Follow all furnace safety and high-heat safety protocols
  • Maintain accurate material tracking and documentation
  • Keep melt and die cast areas clean and organized
  • Communicate effectively during shift changes
  • Assist Die Cast operators as directed
  • Perform general housekeeping and other assigned duties

Requirements:

• 1+ year of forklift or material handling experience preferred
  • Forklift certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work in extreme heat conditions
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
